Keith Reynolds was born and raised in Virginia. After a four-year tour in the Marines following high school graduation, he began preparing for pastoral ministry. He was ordained as a Southern Baptist pastor and ministered to churches in Virginia, North Carolina, and New Hampshire. After 32 years, disillusionment and burnout caused Keith to leave the ministry. Now he works a regular labor job in a foundry.
At the heart of Keith is a desire to help people. The stories of Jesus that make his spirit soar are the ones in which he lifts a broken outcast to see themselves as a person of worth and dignity. When Keith reaches the next stage of existence (death), he wants to have done all he can do to reduce unnecessary suffering.
My grown child Scott is a skilled photographer. Expect to see some of their photos as thumbnail images for my future posts, but in the meantime, feel free to take a look at them on Instagram!
Reconciliation: healing the inner child
by Thich Nhat Hanh
I read this book shortly before Hanh's death. To say that I found it helpful would be a massive understatement. It was, for me, absolutely transformational. It has been many a year since I have read anything that has been as insightful and helpful in bringing me to a more peaceful place in my approach to life.
All of us, even those with good childhood experiences, have negative things that leave residual scars. Hanh's wisdom, insight, and advice can bring you healing and strength.
